"I hate having to call to shop for auto insurance, but this time worked out great. My agents name was Paige with the Allen Miller state farm agency. She was very polite, a great attitude and easy to talk to. Very knowledgeable. She actually gave myself and my girlfriend much better rates with much better limits. It was a pleasure doing business this time around"

"Allen, Since you are the insurance professional, I’d like to present this as a question and provide documentation so you can respond clearly and transparently. I have three separate screenshots that I am prepared to share. The first shows an email I sent stating that I would be researching other insurance options and specifically asking that no change of address or policy change move forward. As a consumer, I have the right to shop around, and this was also a conversation I had directly with Paige. That email documents my request in writing not to proceed. The second shows my email from October 15, where I did give the directive to move forward. I was already insured with State Farm and simply wanted to do my due diligence as a responsible consumer before authorizing the change. The third is State Farm’s own documentation, which shows that the policy change went into effect on October 7. So my question is this: How does a policy change go into effect on October 7 when I had not yet authorized it and had explicitly stated in writing that I did not want to move forward at that time? To be clear, this is not an underwriting issue. This is not a location or address issue. This has nothing to do with Florida insurance rates or policy structures. This is simply about disregarding what a consumer clearly stated in writing. As a consumer, I have the right to research other companies before making a decision. Proceeding anyway reflects a lack of listening and a disregard for a clear directive. That is the issue here. Insurance companies already get a bad reputation, and I would hate for that to be the case here. This reflects a full eight days of being charged without my consent. I do not spend anyone else’s money without authorization, and I would not imagine that an Allen Miller State Farm office would want to do the same. I would genuinely appreciate a response here so the community can be educated on how and why this occurred. The receipts are there. Update – January 2026: I am adding this update because the question posed above has still not been addressed. I have continued to follow proper channels and provided documentation, yet I have not received a response to the very specific issue raised here. I am leaving this review up so consumers can see the timeline and decide for themselves. I remain open to a clear and transparent response."

We understand that insurance can be confusing, and we strive to provide clear explanations both over the phone and via email. We regret if our communication did not meet your expectations and appreciate your patience as we work to address your concerns. Please feel free to reach out directly if you would like us to review anything further or provide additional clarification."
